American comic book company, DC comics, has cancelled the release of a new comic book series after the writer made a comment on Charlie Kirk’s death.
The writer, identified as Gretchen Felker-Martin, had taken to his social media page after a conservative activist, Kirk was shot and killed in Utah.
He referred to the deceased as a “Nazi b*tch, stating that he hopes the bullet that killed him is ok.
“Hope the bullet’s OK,” he wrote.
DC Comics then released a statement, noting that they do not promote hostile or violent comments from their creators and members of their community.
“At DC Comics, we place the highest value on our creators and community and affirm the right to peaceful, individual expression of personal viewpoints. Posts or public comments that can be viewed as promoting hostility or violence are inconsistent with DC’s standards of conduct,” the statement reads in part.
