Accolades have continued to pour in for Davido’s single, ‘Fall’, three years after its release.
The Nigerian singer and songwriter’s 2017 single, has now been certified gold in the United States and Canada as at Friday.
“I predicted this a couple of days ago. FALL is now certified gold in the USA. They laughed at me but I did it first,” the singer tweeted.
For a track to be certified gold in the United States and Canada, it must have sold 80,000 and 40,000 copies, respectively.
The single which also featured on his sophomore album, ‘A Good Time’, has been a huge success for the artiste. Its music video became the most streamed on YouTube in 2018, and it currently has over 160 million views on the online video-sharing platform.
Already certified platinum in South Africa, “Fall” is also the longest running Nigerian song on the Billboard digital single chart.
