Nigerian afrobeats singer, Davido’s second studio album has garnered over a billion streams on all platforms.
Columbia Records UK disclosed this via twitter on Tuesday.
‘A Good Time’ album was released on November 22, 2019 through his label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), RCA Records and Sony Music.
The 17-track album had been certified platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa in just three months of its release. The album, along with two singles on it, ‘Blow My Mind’ and ‘Risky’ were certified platinum in the United States in February. ‘Risky’ went double platinum.
The second single from the album, ‘Fall’, has continued to break records since its release in 2017. It became the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history in February while its video currently stands at over 170 million views on YouTube, the highest for any Nigerian music video.
The album features both local and international artistes like Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Dremo, Peruzzi, Popcaan, Zlatan, Yonda, Wurld and Naira Marley.
