Davido Launches Music And Arts Faculty At Ugandan University

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has etched his mark on the landscape of African education by inaugurating a music and arts faculty at the International University of East Africa in Uganda.

The celebrated artiste, known for his chart-topping hits and philanthropic endeavors, unveiled the new academic venture amidst much fanfare, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.

The grand unveiling ceremony, documented through a series of captivating Instagram posts, showcased Davido’s commitment to fostering artistic talent and nurturing the next generation of creatives.

March 28, 2024, will be etched in the annals of the university’s history as the day when Davido’s vision for the fusion of education and the arts came to fruition.

Amidst his visit to Uganda, where he is slated to mesmerize audiences with his electrifying performances at the Kololo Independence Grounds, Davido’s philanthropic endeavors continue to reverberate across the continent.

His benevolent gesture in 2018, when he donated $5,000 to a music school in Rwanda, exemplifies his unwavering dedication to empowering aspiring musicians and artists.

Having ascended to international stardom with the release of his breakout hit “Dami Duro” in 2012, Davido’s musical journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

His latest album, “Timeless,” released on March 31, 2023, soared to remarkable heights, securing the 37th spot on the prestigious United States Billboard 200 chart within weeks of its debut.
