Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has mocked South Africans for bullying Nigerian-affiliated model, Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina out of the Miss South Africa contest.

Reecall that Mia Le Roux, a descendant of the Dutch settlers in South Africa, Boers, was crowned Miss South Africa 2024 ahead of nine other predominantly black models on Saturday night despite being deaf.

Her emergence after Adetshina, a model of Nigerian and Mozambican heritage, was forced to withdraw from the contest after being bullied by mostly black South Africans who claimed that she could not represent them well because of her origin, has made Nigerians and other Africans mock black South Africans for failing to produce a black winner despite their uproar against Chidimma’s candidacy.

Reacting, Burna Boy shared a photo of the white winner via his X account with the caption, “So after all that… [laugh emoji],” alluding to black South Africans’ attacks on Chidimma Adetshina.
