The Director-General, National Film and Video Censor Board, Alhaji Adedayo Thomas, has expressed confidence in the composition of the new leadership of the Association of Movie Producers, AMP, led by Peace Anyiam-Osigwe to bring their wealth of experience to bear in delivering ‘sterling and superlative performance’ during their tenure.
This was contained in a congratulatory letter he released on Friday to felicitate with the newly elected chairman of AMP.
“It gives me great joy to congratulate you and on behalf of the governing board, management, and staff of the National Film and Video Censor Board, NFVCB on your very recent victory at the polls successfully conducted to elect new executives of the Association of Movie Producers by the AMP Electoral Committee {AMPEC} In Asaba, Delta state on 29th August 2020.
“I am assured and convinced that the new leadership with its rich composition of seasoned and accomplished industry practitioners who possess diverse experiences and tentacles will continue on that trajectory of visionary and transformative leadership, ingenuity, objectivity, consensus building, unity, transparency, and accountability for sterling and superlative performance during their tenure” he wrote in the letter obtained by The Culture Newspaper.
Adedayo also commended the immediate past chairman of the association, Ralph Nwadike, and Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT, Zeb Ejiro for the maturity and dexterity with which they steered the affairs of the association.
“May I also commend the immediate past president Ralph Nwadike who imbibing the virtues of a true leader and strengthened by an astute team, masterfully and with dexterity steered the ship of the association for the past 4 years on a two-term tenure. We trust that he and the other members of his team who have served out their tenure, joining the league of elders, would still bring their rich reservoir of knowledge and wisdom to bear by unrelentingly supporting the new executives as they continue on the voyage.
“This would not be complete without extending our commendation to the Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT Zeb Ejiro for demonstrating, as usual, honorability and incisive leadership and for leading a seamless transition. Posterity will indeed be very kind to his ‘Committee Of Elders’ who also gave resounding support for the success of this event.“
The NFVCB top man also reserved praises for the 16 states chapters and the delegate for the orderly “conduct and wise choices” made in the election.
“It is expedient also to compliment all the chairmen of the 16 states chapters and the delegate for the orderly conduct wise choices made in the election and once again displaying the spirit of patriotism and commitment to the association” he concluded.
