Nigerian afrofusion singer, Burna Boy, has been nominated for BET’s Best International Act for a second consecutive year.

The Grammy-nominated singer won the BET award in 2019 after recording massive successes with his music locally and internationally.

Mavins Record’s artiste, Rema, also got the nod in the Viewers’ Choice: Best New International Act category.

The 20-year old rose to prominence with the release of his song, ‘Iron Man’, which featured on former US President, Barrack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist.

Also up for the BET 2020 Awards is Drake, who clinched six nominations. First timers, Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch follows closely with five nominations each while Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Brown, Lizzo and DaBaby got four nominations each.

The annual BET awards show celebrates creative expression and black excellence across music, film, television, sports and philanthropy.
