Burna Boy, Others Dazzle At Le Paris Gala

Grammy Award winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu known as Burna Boy, continues to maintain his status as a cultural icon with his recent nomination for ‘World Artiste of the Year’ at the 12th Annual iHeartRadio Music Awards.

The event, slated for March 17, 2025, celebrates the most-played artistes and songs across iHeartRadio stations and the app throughout 2024. This recognition places fellow artiste Central Cee, Tems, Tyla, and YG Marley, in his company further affirming his influence on the global music stage.

As one of the most streamed and celebrated artists in 2024, this nomination not only highlights his achievements but also shines a spotlight on the rich musical heritage of Africa.

Also Burna Boy on Thursday, January 23, 2025 took his global impact to another level when he performs at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes 2025, an exceptional charity event set to take place at Paris La Défense Arena. In its third edition, the gala featured a stellar lineup of international stars, including Katy Perry, Gims, John Legend, Rosé, J-Hope, G-Dragon, and more.

Burna Boy is one of Nigeria biggest export in today’s Afrobeats music, having gained recognition in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013). In 2017, Burna Boy signed a record deal with Atlantic Records and its parent company Warner Music Group.

Having won Best International Act at the BET Awards in 2019 and named an Apple Music Up Next artist, he went on to win a Grammy from his fifth studio album ‘Twice as Tall’ which won Best World Music Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles on March 14, 2021.

This was after he had laboured working hard in the studio and churned out his 4th studio album

‘African Giant’, which won Album of the Year at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards and got nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
