Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr’s talent has begun gaining attention on the international music scene as the Mavins artiste’s song is scored on the newly-released Hollywood film, Creed III.
Dreamville/Interscope Records released ‘Ogogoro’ featuring Dreamville’s own Bas and Ayra Starr as part of the 18-track official soundtrack album of the movie released in March 3.
It was confirmed earlier this year that J. Cole’s Dreamville Records would executive produce the soundtrack to Creed III alongside Proximity Media (Ryan Coogler, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis), Outlier Society (Michael B. Jordan), and Executive Music Producer Frank Brim while composer Joseph Shirley will write the score.
Ghanaian artiste, Black Sherif, alongside Nigerian music producer, Kel-P also collaborated with Bas on ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’.
Creed III is the ninth installment of the Rocky franchise. It also marks the directorial debut of Michael B. Jordan who returns as Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky’s longtime rival Apollo.
“Still dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed is thriving in his career and family life. When Damian, a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy resurfaces after serving time in prison, he’s eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring.
“The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian — a fighter who has nothing to lose,” the films synopsis reads.
