An award-winning children’s author will visit a Fargo Public Library for a book presentation and signing.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Christina Soontornvat will come to the Dr. James Carlson Library at 2801 32nd Ave. S., in Fargo, a library news release said.

Soontornvat, who is an engineer and STEM educator in addition to being an author, will present her book “All Thirteen” starting at 6 p.m. A book signing will follow, and books will be available for purchase.

Her many works for children include “A Wish in the Dark,” “The Tryout,” “The Ramble Shamble Children” and “To Change a Planet.”

Soontornvat is a three-time Newbery Honor recipient, most recently for “The Last Mapmaker,” also named a Best Book of the Year by The New York Times.

No registration is required for this free, all-ages event; children ages 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

The event is co-sponsored by Fargo Public Schools and the Fargo Public Schools Development Foundation, the release said.
