As Headies Heads To Atlanta, Bentley Awaits Next Rated Artiste

Organisers of the Headies Awards have announced that this year’s edition of the music show would hold at the Cobb Energy5 Centre, Atlanta, United States, on July 12, 2022.

The show’s creator, Ayo Animashaun, disclosed this during The Headies Big Announcement event, which aired via HipTV on Tuesday.

The event’s organizers also announced new changes to the award show, including a 2022 Bentley as the price for the Next Rated Award Category; new categories and live streaming by major tv and streaming platforms, including CNN and BBCI.

This is the first time that the Headies show will hold outside Nigeria, 15 years after it berthed at MUSON Centre in Lagos. The 15th edition will be hosted by presenter and social media influencer, Nancy Isime and would feature performances by dancer, Kaffy and singer Goya Menor.

The event would include performances by dancer, Kaffy and singer, Goya Menor.

Originally known as the Hip Hop World Awards, the Headies was established in 2006 to celebrate artistes’ outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry.
