As parts of its efforts to focus on Africa, the 2021 Annecy International Film Festival and the Annecy International Animation Film Market (MIFA) are offering young talents in Nigeria the opportunity to acquire funding, co-production deals or work collaborations for their projects.
This opportunity also gives the creators a chance to take part in an international event they would normally not have access to.
The French Embassy in Nigeria in collaboration with Annecy and MIFA, through a Project Development Program, will be enabling up to ten projects to participate in a Lagos workshop between March 29 and April 1, 2021, with the support of Animation Nigeria.
This call for submissions is open to animated short film, feature film, and TV series projects in development, presented by their authors.
A creator/animator/filmmaker can send in a project either as a personal/individual piece of work or through a structure set up within his/her country.
However, only projects with a complete digital file, sent to the French Embassy in Nigeria: nigeriamifa2021@gmail.com, before 22nd January 2021 will be considered.
