Again, Yusuf Ali Funds ANA Reading Campaign

Eminent lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Yusuf Ali, has once again affirmed his love for the development of Nigerian literature by donating N3 million for the 2022 Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA)/ Yusuf Ali Reading Awareness Campaign.

Yusuf O. Ali & Co.’s principal partner has been sponsoring the reading campaign since 2012, and several writers have benefitted from the initiative since it commenced.

In 2017, the lawyer’s grant was used to publish three children’s literature titles under the Nigerian Writers Series (NWS) distributed to ANA chapters nationwide.

Commenting on Ali’s support, ANA General Secretary Maik Ortserga expressed happiness and gratitude to the philanthropist for his constant support towards the Association’s yearly literary awareness campaign.

He also urged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the lawyer’s generosity.

Ali attended the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) and presented a book, ‘Anatomy of Corruption in Nigeria’ in 2017.
