66th Grammys: Davido, Burna Boy Loses All Nominations [FULL LIST OF WINNERS]

Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, failed to clinch an award for any of the three categories in which he was nominated at the just concluded 66th Grammy Awards.

Davido, who was hoping to win his first Grammy after he got the nod in the Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Global Album Performance categories, lost in all three.

He lost the Best African Music category to Tyla’s ‘Water’, Best Global Music Performance to ‘Pashto’ by Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain featuring Rakesh Chaurasia and Best Global Album to Shakti’s ‘The Moment’.

Similarly, Burna Boy, who has a Grammy to his name already, lost in all four categories where he earned nominations. The ‘Last Last’ crooner lost in the Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, Best Global Album Performance and Best Melodic Rap Performance categories.

However, Burna got to introduce the Recording Academy CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., performed on the live show – the first for an African artiste.
