The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has begun accepting entries for the 16th edition of the awards which is slated to hold on October 25, 2020.
The Africa Film Academy will accept features, short, animation and documentary works for consideration in 28 film categories of the awards. This edition will introduce a special category for Asian Foreign Language film.
According to the organisers, the jury will not consider any work that exceeds the 120-minute and 40-minute run as feature or short film respectively.
All entries should indicate year of copyright and should be submitted between December 25, 2019 and April 1, 2020.
The Academy will only consider films produced and released between January 2019 to March 2020.
The 2020 AMAA nominations will be announced on August 30, 2020.
