Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, made headlines on Wednesday after she was robbed of her personal effects in her hotel room in Abidjan.

She took to her official Instagram page to share the bad news with fans after her valuables were carted away by the robbers.

Alade posted a video of herself on her Instagram page and noted that it was a few minutes after she left her room that the thieves struck.

According to her, some unknown people ransacked her room and stole all the money they could find.

She wrote: “A few minutes after I left my room, some unknown people decided to go through my things and steal: all the money they could find”.

The singer was in Cote d’Ivoire for the CANEX WKND creative industry conference.

Like Yemi, media personality, Toke Makinwa, also raised the alarm over her stolen valuables in London.

Toke who recently attended actress Rita Dominic’s wedding in North Yorkshire, England, lamented in an Instagram post where she revealed she was robbed.

She wrote: “Just got robbed in London… I’m speechless. All my valuables are gone. Gosh how could this happen to me.”

It was a week of sad incidents as a former Mr. Universe, who was also a singer and an actor, Slami Ifeanyi, was killed in Umubere, Akwa, the state capital of Anambra.

The 31-year-old was reportedly attacked and killed while driving an automobile he recently acquired.

In a video that made the rounds on social media on Tuesday, the lifeless body of the singer was seen hanging from the car in a pool of blood.

Until his demise, Slami was a model, actor, and the creator of the SLAMI EMPIRE, which produced the ANAMBRA GOT TALENT show.
