Wizkid Hints At Five- Year Music Hiatus

Multiple award-winning Afrobeats artiste, Wizkid, has said that he might be taking a five-year break from the music scene, despite teasing the release of a new album.

The music icon via his Instagram story on Sunday shared a direct message he received from a curious fan inquiring about his next song release.

The fan wrote, “Afa drop songs now abi ogun they k*ll you”.

In response, Wizkid humorously revealed that he will not be releasing music for the next four to five years. He also playfully contemplated engaging in various activities during his break.

Encouraging his fans to prioritize their well-being and cherish moments with their loved ones, he wrote, “Una papa dey holiday oo.

“Make I enjoy. Back in four years, make una papa chop him money small. Or five. Or I fit still go dey play ball now. Or make I start dey play golf or fifa he or wrestling btch! All of una dey craze! Everybody dey mad.

“On some G shit. I hope you motherf**kers alright body mind and soul and taking time out to enjoy with your loved ones,” he wrote.
