Toyin Abraham Defends Uche Montana After YouTube Views Comparison

Actress and producer Toyin Abraham has warned a critic to stop dragging her into the debate over Uche Montana’s YouTube numbers.

The response followed reactions to Montana’s new film, Monica 2, which amassed over 5 million views within 24 hours of its release.

According to reports, the sequel recorded about 4,403,874 views in its first 15 hours after debuting Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

The performance surpassed the original ‘Monica’ and strengthened Montana’s position in Nollywood’s digital distribution space.

The figures drew disbelief online, with some users questioning how Montana achieved the milestone.

One critic compared the numbers to Abraham’s latest film, Alakade GenZ, noting it reached 3 million views in a week while Montana claimed over 5 million in barely 24 hours.

“Toyin Abraham, who has a huge fanbase, joined with Imisi fans in one week to hit 3M, and Uche Montana movie Monica part 2 is hitting 5M+ views barely 24hrs, I doubt it’s organic views”, the critic wrote.

Abraham responded by asking to be left out of the discourse and urged the critic to let Montana have her moment.

“Pls, leave me out of this and let her enjoy her moment and time. Won sepe fun yi ni, abi kilode gan”, she wrote.
