The Rockford Art Museum says the Greenwich it’s the longest running event of its kind in the Midwest and this long-standing tradition returned for its 76th year this weekend.
Taking place at the museum, people could see and buy pieces from more than 80 artists and vendors. Most of them are local though the event does bring in nationwide artists. From jewelry, woodwork, painting, ceramics and more this fair is a chance for artists to engage with the community and showcase their talents.
“We have people coming back every year going ‘I remember 30 years ago I bought this piece of art’. That tradition continues with people,” says museum Executive Director Carrie Johnson. “They love coming back and getting a piece of art or telling us how they used to buy art here as little kids.”
Proceeds support the Rockford Art Museum.
