Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ Becomes Most Watched Nigerian Music Video On YouTube

The music video for Rema’s 2022 single, ‘Calm Down’, has become the most-viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube with more than 355 million views.

Released in February 2022, the song is also part of Rema’s debut album ‘Rave and Roses’ released later in March of the same year.

The music video has been watched more than 355 million times to become the most-viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube in less than a year.

According to TurnTable Charts, the music video is now the most-viewed music video on YouTube after surpassing ‘Love Nwantintin Remix’ by Ckay ft. Joeboy and Kuami Eugene.

“The music video for ‘Calm Down’ by @heisrema is now officially the most-viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube. It surpassed ‘Love Nwantintin Remix’ by CKay ft. Joeboy & Kuami Eugene just minutes ago,” it wrote on its verified twitter handle.

The Edo-born singer released a remix of the hit single in August 2022, featuring Selena Gomez. The video of the remix is also believed to have recorded over 260 million views on the streaming platform.

‘Calm Down’ was also among the songs that featured on former US president, Barack Obama’s favourite music of 2022.
