As preparations get into top gear ahead of the 9th coronation anniversary of the Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II, the anniversary thanksgiving event committee has paid a visit to the Edo State House of Assembly.
The committee, led by the Ohen-Osa Igbinoghodua Edebiri of the Holy Aruosa Cathedral, was received by the Speaker and members of the House. He said he was pleased to welcome the delegation to the House of Assembly.
The chairman of the event committee, Osayande Osaretin, congratulated the 8th Assembly for the peaceful conduct of its members, saying they came to invite the Speaker and members of the House to the 9th coronation anniversary thanksgiving event, which comes up on the 26th of October, 2025.
He added that the event is a major part of the coronation anniversary festivities and promises to be a very massive celebration this year.
Responding, the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku, thanked the Ohen-Osa and his team for the visit, assuring them that the House holds the Benin monarch, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II, in very high esteem.
He added that the Assembly is truly honoured to be invited to the event and that the members are pleased to participate.
The leader of the delegation also called for the support of the House to make the event a great success.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the invitation and the brochure of last year’s event to the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly.
