London-based Nigerian filmmaker, Obi Emelonye, has defied all odds stacked against him by the restrictions of the coronavirus pandemic to shoot his latest project.

The award-winning director of ‘Last Flight To Abuja’ premiered the film on YouTube on Tuesday.

Emelonye announced on his twitter handle that the film, ‘Heart 2 Heart’, was shot with mobile phones and remotely directed using video conferencing application, Zoom.

“Shot on mobile phones and directed remotely with Zoom, this unique project eavesdrops on a long-distance video call between two young lovers; whose wedding was affected by the Coronavirus,” he tweeted.

The 7-minute short film features Jide-Kene Achufusi (SWANKY J.K.A) and Ada Godsfavour-Inyang as the onscreen couple.

The crew comprised of the phone operators, Enobong Iyang (London) and Obioma Achufusi (Lagos).

The film’s original score was by Joel Christian Goffin while the soundtrack, ‘My Lady’ was by Luciano Paragon.
