The foremost music talent show, Nigerian Idol is set to return for its 10th season, starting on April 20, 2025 with the theme: “Your Voice, Your Victory.”

The upcoming season promises a showcase of exceptional talent, compelling performances, and intense competition as contestants vie for the ultimate prize.

This season’s judging panel promises a rich blend of experience and fresh insight.

Returning to the panel are Omawumi, a powerhouse vocalist with a wealth of industry expertise, and Ric Hassani, known for his soulful sound and artistry.

Joining them for the first time is award-winning singer Iyanya, whose journey from talent show contestant to music star adds perspective to the judging table.

Seasoned host, IK Osakioduwa, returns to guide us through the competition, bringing his signature charm and engaging presence to the stage.

Speaking on the significance of this milestone season in Lagos, MultiChoice, West Africa, Executive Head of Content and Channels, Dr Busola Tejumola disclosed that Nigerian Idol is more than just a competition, as it is a platform that transforms lives.

“Over the years, we have seen aspiring artists step onto that stage and emerge as stars. With the line-up of judges this season, fans can expect passion, commitment, and insightful feedback that will enrich the overall experience of the show,” she stated.

She alluded that beyond individual careers, Nigerian Idol has played a key role in Nigeria’s creative economy, creating opportunities for artists, producers, vocal coaches, stylists, content creators, and other industry professionals. “At MultiChoice, we believe that nurturing talent is a long-term commitment.

“Through Nigerian Idol, we continue to invest in the next generation of Nigerian music stars, offering them access to world-class training, mentorship, and a platform to showcase their talents.

“This is just one of the many ways we are dedicated to empowering young Nigerians and providing them with the support they need to succeed. As we mark our 10-season milestone, we promise an even more exciting and competitive show. Expect bigger and better production,” she averred.

Since its revival in 2021, Nigerian Idol has grown into one of the country’s most anticipated music shows, helping young Nigerians chase their dreams.
