Independent Media Content Producers, digital storytellers, film makers, regulators, aggregators, distributors and media producers are gearing up for the 5th edition of the Nigerian Electronic Media Content Exhibition and Awards (NEMCEA 2026).

The highly anticipated event returns to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, on September 2, 2026 and September 3, 2026, focusing on a theme that hits at the heart of the modern creative hustle: “The Creator’s Economy – Elevate Your Craft, Secure Your Future.”

The 2026 edition aims to demystify the business of storytelling. Content creators often struggle to transition from viral moments to sustainable businesses; NEMCEA 2026 seeks to fix that.

Listed and expected to speak at different forum including at the Director General’s Roundtable are (1) Mr. Charles Ebuebu, Director General, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), (2) Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo Director General, Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), (3) Dr. Lanre Isaac Onilu, Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), (4) Comrade Salihu Abdullahi Dembos, Director General, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), (5) Dr. Mohammed Bulama, Director-General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). (6) Mrs. Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, Managing Director, Nigeria Communication Satellite Ltd. (NIGCOMSAT), (7) Mr. Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director-General, Voice of Nigeria (VON), (8) Dr. John O. Asein, Director-General, Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) amidst others.

Also renowned advertising and media expert Mr. Yinka Adebayo, Group Executive Director at Omnicom Media Group (Mediareach OMD), will be part of the Speakers, sharing invaluable insights on how creators can elevate their content quality to meet international standards and attract global monetization.

Emphasizing the creative-first approach of this edition, Mr. Adeniji Omirin, EMCOAN President, noted, the digital age has democratized content creation, but it has also made it highly competitive. Creators need more than just talent; they need structure. NEMCEA 2026 is about giving the everyday creator the blueprints to protect their intellectual property, improve their production values, and build businesses that outlive algorithms.”

To help creators navigate the financial realities of their craft, NEMCEA has expanded its alliance by welcoming Standard Insurance Consultants Ltd. as a new Sponsoring Partner. This partnership introduces vital conversations around asset protection and risk management for production houses, joining existing strategic partners like, Zee World, LAPO Microfinance Bank, Algorithm Media, Mediareach OMD, Maxi Media, Acuity Plus Media etc

Furthermore, the presence of major industry regulators, strategic partners and public broadcasters like NBC, ARCON, NOA, NCAC, NTA, VON, MIPAN, BON, AAAN, ADVAN, NCAA, and FRCN ensures that independent creators/Producers have direct access to policy-makers. This interaction is designed to foster a better understanding of broadcasting codes, advertising regulations, and cultural preservation in content creation.

NEMCEA 2026 Project Director, Mr. Alayande Stephen T., urged creators not to miss this edition “We have tailored this 5th edition to be intensely practical. From the exhibition floors where content is bought and sold, to the masterclasses, to the Conference with different Industry experts, everything is geared toward the creator. With the support of our incredible partners, we are creating an environment where a single connection can change the trajectory of a creator’s career “ he averred.
