A call has gone out by Nafasi Art Space and Alliance Francaise Dar es Salaam in Tanzania for vocalist and musicians who wish to discover and experiment with new sounds to apply for a workshop that will focus on the role of technology in the business of music-making, MusicInAfrica, a leading platform for musicians has revealed.
The workshop which will be by producer and composer Fred Hirschy (France), Kora player and singer Noumoucounda Cissoko (Senegal), drummer Axel Lussiez (France) and singer Thaïs Diarra (Mali/Switzerland) is set to hold between February 4-7 February 2020.
According to Nafasi Art Space, the workshop is intended for vocalist and musicians who wish to discover and experiment with new sounds.
“The workshop is intended for vocalist and musicians who wish to discover and experiment with new sounds. Our special guest musicians will also perform at Alliance Francaise Dar es Salaam on 7 February and also in Zanzibar for Sauti za Busara on 13 February 2020” the organizers said.
The application deadline is 29 January and there are only 20 slots available. Interested artists are required to apply by sending a letter of motivation to info@nafasiartspace.org.
