The family of ailing actor, John Okafor, aka Mr Ibu, has debunked reports circulating in the media that the veteran actor’s second leg has been amputated.
Recall that on Saturday, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Dr Emeka Rollas had told newsmen that Mr Ibu, has undergone another leg amputation and is barely able to talk.
But in reacting to the development, the family insisted that Mr Ibu’s second leg is still inatct and that he’s not diabetic in nature except for constant clotting of the blood in his leg [diseased blood vessels] and other health challenges posing risk to his life, therefore the need for the amputation.”
The family explained that the actor hasn’t been flown abroad for advanced treatment because doctors have tagged him “Not fit to fly.”
The family, however, said the legendary comic star was recuperating, urging his “friends, colleagues, fans and Nigerians at large to keep him in their prayers and peddle down on unconfirmed reports concerning our dad’s health.”
