Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean Hits No 1 On Global Spotify

‎Arguably the greatest entertainer of all time, Michael Jackson is still making waves even in death, as his song “Billie Jean” just hit #1 on the Global Spotify chart.
‎
‎Driven heavily by the massive buzz and release of his highly anticipated 2026 biopic, Michael, the track pulled in over 6 million streams in a single day.
‎
‎This milestone marks two incredible historical records. Originally released in 1983, Billie Jean is now officially the oldest track to ever top the Global Spotify chart.
‎
‎The surge has also pushed Michael Jackson to the #1 spot on the global digital artist rankings across multiple platforms, outperforming active modern heavyweights like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and BTS.
‎
‎It just goes to show that some music genuinely transcends generations.
