Madonna Debuts Two New Songs At Surprise LA Performance

The Queen of Pop Madonna is not quite done with the music world: seven years after the release of her 14th studio album, Madame X, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, she has finally dropped her 15th album, Confessions II.

The icon launched two new songs from the forthcoming album during a late-night surprise performance at The Abbey in Los Angeles. The songs, said to be titled ‘Freedom’ and ‘Forgive Yourself,’ mark her return to dance-pop with producer Stuart Price.

The new album is a sequel to the mega pop star’s 2005 Billboard 200 No.1 album ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’. It is also Madonna’s first album since her comeback to Warner Records.

The label had announced in September that Madonna would be returning to where it all started, after almost two decades away.

Warner Records became Madonna’s first label after she signed there in 1982. She stayed with Warner Records for the first 25 years of her music career, releasing 11 albums, including the original ‘Confessions’.

Madonna also recently made an appearance, delightfully surprising the audience during Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella weekend 2 headlining performance to sing ‘Vogue,’ ‘Like a Prayer, and an unreleased duet with the singer.

Following the surprise Coachella performance, Madonna released the first song from Confessions II at midnight on April 18.

Confessions II, the album, is scheduled to be released on July 3 by Warner Records.
