Following the passing of the founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the funeral preparations for the late Nollywood amazon have been announced by her family.

The late AMAA founder passed away after a brief illness last month at the age of 54.

Until her demise, she was the National President of Association of Movie Producers (AMP), a position she held since 2020 after succeeding Ralph Nwadike.

A Night of Tributes will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023, at the Marriott Hotel, Joel Ogunnaike Street, GRA Ikeja, Lagos, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, as contained in the schedule of events leading up to her interment.

On Monday, February 13, between 4:00pm, there will be a Service of Songs at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Yaba.

On Wednesday, February 15, a Funeral Mass (Mass of the Resurrection) will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Yaba, Lagos.

The funeral Mass will be promptly followed by the strictly “family-only” interment.

A Thanksgiving Mass will thereafter be held on Sunday, February 19, at 10:00 am at Catholic Church of the Presentation Church, Oba Akinjobi Street, GRA, Ikeja.

Guests will be entertained at Marcelina’s home on Isaac John at 1pm following the Thanksgiving Mass.
