Las Vegas Rock Festival ‘When We Were Young’ Cancelled For 2026

by The Culture Newspaper March 3, 2026

The famous rock festival, When We Were Young, which has previously featured artists like Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day, announced it is calling off its Las Vegas concert for 2026 and resuming later in 2027.

The cancellation was posted on Instagram and made public on February 27, 2026, by the acclaimed pop-punk and emo music festival organisers, after fans began speculating that it might not go ahead.

The post read, “After an unforgettable run in Las Vegas, we’ve decided to take 2026 off to give this festival the care it deserves and to make sure what comes next feels just as special as what came before.”

The cancellation is only for this year, as the group has promptly declared its plans for next year. “When We Were Young Festival will return to Las Vegas in October 2027,” it said, adding that the cancellation is not a goodbye but a pause.

The When We Were Young Festival first debuted at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in 2022, and My Chemical Romance and Paramore took centre stage at the show.

It featured several emo, pop-punk, alternative, and hardcore bands, some of which had not toured in years.

Several fans attended the event, as tickets sold out promptly two weekends into the festival. Sadly, the first day of the show was cancelled due to extremely high winds in the area.

When the 2026 event was not promptly announced by the organisers, as is usually the case, fans were disturbed and let down that it might not be happening, but some have responded to the news with understanding.
