The 2014 ijakadi Festival in Offa , Kwara State will take place from December 26 to 28, 2024.

The chairman, media and communications committee, Dr Waheed Olagunju, disclosed this in Ilorin.

“In our usual tradition of using culture to propel economic growth and development, this year’s theme aptly captures our drive to sustain the momentum started last year.

“The festival commences on 26th of December 2024 with joint denominational prayers by Muslim and Christian clerics to be jointly led by our revered chief Imam of Offa, Sheik Muideen Abdulsallam and chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) in Offa.

“This will be followed immediately by this year’s annual lecture titled, “Evolution of our Offa compound names as a way of approaching and promoting our cultural heritage,” Olagunju said. He said the lecture would be delivered by Dr Lawal Muhammad at the palace of the Olofa of Offa.
