Seun Kuti, a Nigerian musician and youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has paid tribute to his late father.

Recall that the late legendary Afrobeat singer and activist, Fela Anikulapo Kuti died in 1997.

However, reflecting on the enduring influence Fela has had on his life since his death, Seun Kuti revealed that every aspect of his music is a testament to the deceased’s influence.

“Every year since you passed to the great beyond, your impact on our lives has continued to grow.

“Every note, phrase, dance, song and album is to show my love for you. I miss you and I play my sax for you. Dad, I live for your legacy and I’m loyal to the mission. Love you big man more than words can express.”
