I Deleted My X Page To Preserve My Sanity – Chidinma Adetshina

The newly-crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, has said she deleted her X page due to her mental health.

Recall that Chidimma had faced criticism in South Africa when she contested for Miss South Africa.

Following the backlash, the South Africa Department of Home Affairs, DHA, revealed that evidence suggests Chidimma’s mother committed fraud and identity theft.

Speaking to Arise 360, Chidinma stated that the overwhelming and often negative feedback prompted her to leave the platform.

The 23-year-old explained that removing the app provided her with relief.

“I had to delete it because I felt like it was too much for me. I’m a comment reader so I read each and every comment; that’s the thing. So for me, I could spend 80% of my day reading comments.

”I’d read the comments and all and it became toxic for me. I use Instagram but I did limit my comment section one time,” Adetshina explained.

Chidinma, however, thanked her fans for the support she received.
