Nigerian Actor, Olumide Oworu has said he is optimistic that the Nigerian film industry would transform with more collaborations from the international scene.

Oworu made this known on Sunday when he appeared as a guest on Channels Television’s Rubbin Minds.

“I definitely do see more international collaborations for the industry”.

Despite his enthusiasm, the 30year old “The Johnsons Family” star expressed disappointment that the industry is not growing fast enough.

“I am not worried, I am actually more excited to see where it will go because there is definitely potentials, there is definitely a lot of opportunities”, he said,

“I think one of the issues that we have in Nollywood now is a lot of efforts are happening in small pockets and it doesn’t feel like the industry in its entirety is trying to scale up”.

He also said “A lot of my friends and I are having more politically conscious conversations when we are together”.

The actor said he is exploring his musical career and working on his EP that is coming soon.
