How Asake Recorded His Verse On ‘Bandana’ In Tour Bus – Fireboy

Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML, has expressed his admiration for his colleague and record label mate, Asake.

He eulogised Asake’s talent and energy. He revealed that Asake recorded his verse on their 2022 collaborative hit song ‘Bandana’ in a tour bus.

Speaking in an interview with Ebro, Fireboy said their synergy on the song was due to their long-standing working relationship dating back to their undergraduate days at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife.

“Our record label [YBNL] boss, Olamide, advised me to feature Asake on ‘Bandana.’ We sent it to him. He recorded that song on his tour bus. It was quick. The energy was insane,” he said.

“Asake is someone I’ve known since way back. We went to the same university. He has a very crazy personality.

“He’s a born star. We had that synergy from way back in school. We had similar struggles. We went through almost the same journey,” he added.
