Ace Fuji artiste, Saheed Osupa, has added a feather to his cap as he graduates from the Premier University, the University of Ibadan, with a BSc in Political Science.

The Fuji maestro bagged a Second Class Honour, Upper Division.

Sharing pictures of the convocation ceremony, the 54-year-old artiste took to his verified Instagram account to share the good news.

He wrote, “Today, I attended the Convocation Ceremony of the University of Ibadan, where I graduated, bagging a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Political Science with Second Class Honour, Upper Division.

“The public should be aware that, I, King (Dr.) Saheed Osupa Akorede, am now a graduate of the prestigious University of Ibadan, Class of ’21. Alhamdulilahi”.

Osupa was born in the Mosafejo area of Ajegunle, Lagos State, but grew up in Ibadan, the home town of his parents.

His father, Moshood Ajiwere Layeye was a Wéré (Islamic chant) music artiste and also an elder cousin of late Fuji musician, Ayinde Barrister.

It was gathered that the singer went to Amuwo Odofin High School in Lagos, where he finished from in 1987. In 1992, he completed his National Diploma programme at the Polytechnic of Ibadan where he studied Business Administration.

He is also an alumnus of the American International College where he studied Networking Operations.
With his deep and philosophical songs, Osupa is considered a poet of the Fuji music genre and one of the shining lights of the brand.
