The Nigerian Film Festivals Association (NFFA) has released her 2024 calendar with about 26 recognized film festivals captured in this year’s launch.
NFFA is an umbrella body that helps in the regulation of all film festivals in Nigeria.
A statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Kate Ezeigbo, said the Uche Agbo-led group decided to start the year with the launch of the calendar to enable creatives all around the world plan effectively to participate in the upcoming film festivals.
The statement added that in a bid to gain networking, cultural exchange and diversity, marketability and distribution of products, artistic innovation and experimentation, community engagement and economic impact, there is need for proper organization which is one of the essence of the NFFA Calendar.
“We crave the indulgence of all creatives, government parastatals, industries, guilds, investors, sponsors and individuals to take advantage of this initiative,” the statement read in part.
NFFA is an umbrella body housing all film festivals within and outside Nigeria but organized by persons of Nigeria national. It is a consortium of Nigerian film festivals with the aim of supporting each other, resolving conflicts among film festival conveners and seeking solutions to the challenges confronting Film Festival administration in Nigeria.
