A N10million cash prize, one-year residency in a luxury apartment, a brand new car coupled with some lucrative brand ambassadorship opportunities are all up for grabs as entries for the 2021 edition of Miss Nigeria, one of the country’s oldest beauty pageants, open.

Folio Group, a multi-media conglomerate and organisers of the Miss Nigeria Pageant made the announcement recently.

The organisers said its 2021 pageant, which is the 44th of its kind, will be held on December 17 at the Landmark Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria.

Speaking of the project, Fidelis Anosike, chairman of Folio Group’s board of directors, said contestants, partners and the public will be treated to “a world-class pageant like never seen before in the Nigerian pageantry landscape.”

“Miss Nigeria emerged in response to the realization that given the right platform, young Nigerian women can drive positive change and inspire other young women across the continent,” he said.

“And we remain committed to those values as we head into the 2021 pageant. To participate, each contestant will be required to complete the call to the entry form for free at www.missnigeria.org.”

Also speaking, Chioma Nwigwe, manager of the Miss Nigeria Organisation, said the screening process will begin from a selection of the top 120 contestants who will be further whittled down to 37.

“All they have to do is click on the 2021 Miss Nigeria tab and follow the instructions to submit their photos and video,” the manager added.

“Subsequently, 18 semi-finalists will head into the Miss Nigeria boot camp and onto the grand finale from which the eventual winner will emerge.”

The 2021 Miss Nigeria is open to indigenous young women between the ages of 18 and 25.

According to the organisers, the call for entry will be open from October 21 to November 2, 2021.
