Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival (ENIFF) has opened a call for young Nigerian and Kenyan filmmakers and folklorists to apply for ‘72 Hour Storytelling with AI Hackathon Training’ scheduled to hold November 8 to 9, 2024.

Aimed at building young filmmakers and folklorists to tell better stories using Artificial Intelligence (A.I), explore advanced smartphone filmmaking techniques for high-quality production, and to reimagine traditional folklore through modern storytelling, the hybrid training, supported by the British Council, will provide the applicants opportunity to showcase their work on international platforms, gain mentorship from renowned industry professionals, and a chance to network and grow their career in filmmaking.

Application deadline is October 30, 2024.

“This is the chance for young filmmakers from Nigeria and Kenya to reimagine folklore, leverage the power of AI, and create captivating short films using your smartphone”.
