Diddy Scores Legal Victory As Dawn Richard’s Lawsuit Is Dismissed

Sean Combs has recorded a legal win after a federal court dismissed a civil lawsuit filed by Dawn Richard, according to court documents cited by TMZ.

A federal judge dismissed all of Richard’s claims. Most were permanently thrown out because they were filed after the legal deadline.

However, the court said she could pursue one remaining claim linked to copyright issues in a New York state court.

Richard, a former member of Danity Kane and Diddy-Dirty Money, sued Combs in September 2024. She alleged that he became hostile towards her after she advised his former partner, Cassie Ventura, to leave the relationship over alleged abuse she claimed to have witnessed.

She also accused Combs of subjecting her to demanding work conditions that left her exhausted and unwell. Richard further alleged that he touched her inappropriately at a recording studio.

Combs denied the claims. His lawyer, Erica Wolff, described the allegations as false and questioned why Richard continued working with him on several projects if her experiences had been as she alleged. Richard later testified as a witness in Combs’ criminal trial.
