Nigerian Afrobeats Star Davido has been confirmed as one of the headline acts for the official kick-off concert of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) made the announcement on Thursday, unveiling a high-octane entertainment lineup designed to bridge the worlds of football and music.

The concert is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, just 24 hours before the tournament’s opening match.

Davido returns to the international sporting stage following his memorable performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Joining him are French Montana, the Moroccan-born American rapper; Douaa Lahyaoui, Moroccan singer; Lartiste, Moroccan hitmaker; and fast-rising artist Says’z.

The musical performance serves as a build-up to the main event on Sunday, December 21, when hosts Morocco face Comoros to officially begin the competition.
