The organisers of the Flytime music festival that will be held in Lagos between December 22 and 25 have released details of the event.

Over the past two decades, Flytime Fest and its flagship event, Rhythm Unplugged, have reached over 300
million people worldwide, making it one of the continent’s most anticipated events of the year.

A statement obtained by TCN indicated that this milestone year continues that tradition, featuring four nights of electrifying performances by Africa’s biggest stars.

According to the statement, in partnership with other companies, Flytime Promotions will elevate the festival experience with exclusive installations, commemorative merchandise, and interactive activations that honour two decades of musical excellence.

The festival lineup indicated that it will start on December 22, with a special anniversary edition, showcasing the best of established and emerging talent. The following day, Nigerian rap icon and music mogul Olamide will take centre stage with a headline performance celebrating his illustrious career and profound impact on the evolution of Nigerian music.

The statement informed that on December 24, Afrobeat superstar and four-time Grammy nominee, Davido, will return to Flytime Fest to once again captivate audiences with his energetic performances and chart-topping global hits.

On December 25, pop sensation Ayra Starr will close the festival with a spectacular performance. Renowned for her dynamic stage presence, Ayra is set to deliver an unforgettable performance for her first-ever headline concert in Nigeria.

According to the statement, “Since its inception in 2004, Flytime Promotions has been instrumental in elevating African music on the global stage. The company has hosted groundbreaking events that launched careers and created a premier platform to experience the diversity of Afrobeats alongside amazing global talent all in one place.”

The statement further stated that marking this milestone, Flytime will introduce the Women in Music brunch, which celebrates women shaping the music industry, featuring some of the biggest female artists from the continent, alongside female executives and creative industry powerhouses. “This initiative underscores Flytime’s commitment to empowering women and recognizing their pivotal contributions to the industry,” it stated.
