Top Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has disclosed that she has contracted the novel coronavirus.
The movie star, who revealed this on Saturday via her Instagram handle, also gave an update on her health.
“Hello all, I know most of you have been wondering where I’ve been. Well, I contracted COVID-19. I have been ill in isolation and now getting better. More details on this soon,” she posted on Instagram.
According to the actress, her husband, Mathew Ekeinde, who is a pilot, had flown their two children in a private jet from the U.S. to Nigeria about a month ago. She said they were stranded in the United States due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Omotola joins the list of celebrities like Mr. P of the defunct PSquare duo and Davido’s partner, Chioma, who publicly revealed their positive Covid-19 status.
