Cinemax Distribution Limited is closing the year on a high note, securing two significant honors at the National Film and Video Censors Board Conference, for both the Emerging Distributor Award and the Best Cinematic Impact Award for the breakout film, Gingerrr.

This recognition goes beyond the film itself; it highlights the strength of collaboration.

‘Gingerrr’ was brought to life through a powerful partnership between Cinemax and its visionary co- producers, proving once again that industry impact is strongest when creativity, alignment and execution meet. Receiving the awards, the CEO, Mr. Ope Ajayi, described the win as a moment that reflects both the work and the intention behind Cinemax’s growing influence.

“Gingerrr’ is what happens when great teams and bold ideas come together,” Ajayi said.

“These awards reaffirm our commitment to championing Nigerian stories and building partnerships that push the industry forward.”

The National Film and Video Censors Board Conference remains one of the most important gatherings for film stakeholders in the country, spotlighting organizations shaping the future of Nigerian cinema.

With these wins, Cinemax Distribution Limited continues to position itself as a distributor providing impeccable access, scale and storytelling across the value chain.
