Censors Board Gives Guidelines On AI Usage In Film Production

‎The entrance of Artificial Intelligence and digital solutions into human endeavours and business is far-fetched.
‎‎
‎Also in filmmaking, artificial Intelligence has supported the process and made the craft easier and enhanced the structure, but to what extent?
‎
‎The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board has weighed in on this development and set guidelines.
‎
‎On emerging trends, the executive director and CEO of the NFVCB, Dr Shaibu Husseini, stated recently that Artificial Intelligence (AI) in film production must be transparently disclosed, with appropriate indemnities executed before distribution.
‎
‎He urged film-makers and animators in film production to exercise due diligence by making this known and giving credit to those who are due.
‎
‎Addressing critical industry concerns, the NFVCB boss underscored the importance of clear disclaimers in fiction films and ongoing efforts to control the promotion and the glamorisation of tobacco, narcotics use and ritual practices on screen. He stated that the Board never banned money rituals in movies. Instead, the Board expects that appropriate disclaimers and corresponding consequences for the depiction must accompany movies with such themes.
