Burna Boy Clinches Double Nominations For 65th Grammy Awards

Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, has yet again clinched nominations for the 2023 Recording Academy Awards, popularly known as the Grammys.

Burna’s name appeared in two categories on the list that was released by the Academy on Tuesday, as the award ceremony is set for February 5, 2023.

His latest album, ‘Love, Damini’, was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category, alongside other albums from international music stars.

The singer, who got his first Grammy in 2021 for Best Global Music Album for his 2020 album ‘Twice as Tall’, was also nominated for Best Global Music Performance for his hit track, ‘Last Last.’

Nigeria’s Tems also made an appearance on the nomination list as Future’s ‘Wait For U’, which featured her and Drake made it to the nominations in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category.

Beyonce leads all nominees with nine nods, followed by rapper Kendrick Lamar with eight, and British singer Adele and balladeer Brandi Carlile tied at seven each.
