Nollywood actress Princess Nnenna Orji has received another major career recognition after she was honoured by Breakthrough Awards Uganda as Best Actress in Africa, in recognition of her outstanding talent, versatility, and exceptional contribution to the African film and performing arts industry.

According to the inscription on the award plaque, the honour celebrates her “outstanding talent, versatility, and exceptional contribution to the film and performing arts industry,” noting that her breakthrough achievements reflect “remarkable emotional depth, strong screen presence, and the ability to bring characters to life with authenticity and passion.”
It further commended her dedication, discipline, and artistic excellence, describing her as a performer whose work continues to captivate, inspire, and entertain audiences across Africa.
Reacting to the recognition in a video message, Princess Orji expressed heartfelt appreciation to the organisers and her supporters.
“This is me saying a very big thank you to Breakthrough Awards Uganda for crowning me the Best Actress in Africa. I feel honoured and appreciated. Thank you so much.”
She also congratulated her fellow nominees and winners, while extending special appreciation to Shali Ahmed, a Ugandan actor and model, for his support and encouragement.
