To further spice up this year’s edition of the Ikorodu Oga Festival, Tunde Kelani’s latest feature film, ‘Ayinla’, will screen daily throughout the cultural celebration.

The 2021 festival with ‘The Future is Here’ as its theme will happen from November 13 to 20 and will feature beauty pageants, food festivals, and march past.

‘Ayinla’ featuring Lateef Adedimeji, Omowunmi Dada, Bimbo Manuel, Ade Laoye, Kunle Afolayan, Bimbo Adenuye and Mr Macaroni, will screen daily at Oasis Cinemas, Ebute Ikorodu during the festival.

Based on the life and times of Ayinla Omowura, one of the most profound and admired Yoruba musicians of post-colonial Nigeria, Kelani’s first major movie since 2015’s release of Dazzling Mirage has been warmly received.

It also recently got multiple nominations for the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA). It was nominated for the Best Film in an African Language Award, Best Cinematography, Best Nigerian Film and a Best Actor nod for Lateef Adedimeji, who played Ayinla.
