Asake’s ‘MMWTV’ Becomes Highest-charting Nigerian Debut Album In Billboard History

Afrobeats breakout star, Asake, whose year 2022 was an exceedingly great and fulfilling, has been named the Nigerian artiste with the highest-charting debut album of all time.

A review of 2022 Billboard charts by ‘Chart Data’ on Twitter spotlighted the record-breaking feat attained by the Nigerian superstar in the year under review, with his debut album, ‘Mr Money With The Vibe (MMWTV)’.

The YBNL artiste was undoubtedly the biggest music revelation of 2022 in Nigeria as he dominated local and international charts with multiple hit songs and a plethora of achievements.

The album, ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ was released on September 8, 2022, and in a few hours, it became the number-one album in Nigeria.

The 12-track album debuted at Number 66th on the ‘Billboard 200,’ making it the highest-debuting Nigerian album on the chart.

‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ attained a new peak after climbing up to the number 2 position on Billboard World Album Chart.

“In 2022, @asakemusik’s ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ became the highest-charting debut Nigerian album of all-time on the Billboard,” Chart Data tweeted.
