The founder of La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Otunba Dr Olawanle Akinboboye has been called on by the African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council {AU-ECOSOCC} to bring his vast experience to play in an advisory capacity to the council in a bid to deliver the Agenda 2063 of the Council.

In a letter dated 10th of February, 2020 and obtained by The Culture Newspaper, Nigerian Representative of the AU-ECOSOCC, Oba Olasunkanmi John Adebusuyi urged the cultural icon to avail his wealth of experience to the council to achieve the agenda 2063 of the council.

“The office of the Nigerian Representative of the African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council {AU-ECOSOCC} office has the honour to inform you of your nomination as an advisor to the AU ECOSOCC Nigerian home. We have an unalloyed belief that we will benefit tremendously from your personality as an elder statesman of high repute, an icon, a household name in Africa and the international community. This is an avenue to tap from your legendary advice” Adebusuyi wrote.

AU-ECOSOCC is the body saddled with the responsibility of promoting and popularizing the Union’s policies and programmes and this requires that Nigerian representatives liaise with notable African leaders in Nigeria to carry out its activities such as the promotion of Agenda 2063.

Agenda 2063: The Africa we want is the African blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future and is the continent’s strategic framework that aims to deliver on its goal for inclusive and sustainable development. It is also a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under pan-Africanism and African renaissance.
